Block Out the Noise
The culmination of my Advertising and Marketing Communications degree track, ADVT 4910 Advertising Campaign Production, was an opportunity to work in a small advertising agency setting. We competed in the American Advertising Federation's National Student Advertising Competition and I worked as a copywriter for our team. I developed pre-roll ads, social media posts, and a campaign manifesto along with other miscellaneous pieces for the campaign. As a sophomore in a junior-senior level class, I challenged myself to apply my writing skills in a professional environment while also greatly improving my interpersonal communication skills. I was also chosen as one of four students to present our team’s campaign live in front of five judges and the other competing schools.
